原来要开心，也可以很简单。原来，我心中的幸福也是那么简单，有工作能自主，需要时能停下脚步来，自己嘗试煮些新玩意儿，做做手工, 孩子们各就各位，自强不息，我的小脑袋不用担心这个烦恼那个的，就是幸福了。

这两天感冒了，在家里休息，没去工作。昨天整理一下㕑房和写桌面，学煑一下獵肠鸡肉咸鱼饭, 今天学煑韓国泡菜海鲜鳮肉麵，和孩子一起吃得很开心。想一想，原来作这么简单的事，已经可以让我感到开心。

Mrt line break down
Yesterday, 7 July 15, I first time experience Mrt line breakdown. It was 9pm, I was about to leave Orchard, then I receive the news from my friend.
I decided to wait for a while by walking and took some snack around the mall at Icon and CKTang. By 9.30pm, they announced that East West line has resumed service, I saw the gate at Orchard Mrt still closed, so I went to catch bus No 7 at Lucky Plaza.
The bus stop was so clouded that I have to miss a few No 7, so eventually I decided to go up bus No 14, may be stop at bus stop opposite Saint Patrict, then walk home, when I passed by Parkway area, I quickly alight to take bus no 32, so that I no need to walk a long way. What was the time then? It was 11.20pm. It took me almost 3 and a half hour to reach home. Waste a lot of my time!
Please, please please, next time, Mrt best don't break down, if break down, best advice people when can resume service, so we no need to wait!

這侧广告是说一个年青小伙子去排队買早餐，他的老板和另几个员工在等他开会. 那曰本老板都火了因为众所周知日本是很有时间观念的. 那男生出现了，手上还拿着两份早餐吧！如果我没有看错.
那男生还装可爱，老板也不气了。
我想那男生要買早餐为什么不早点起来呢？为什么要迟到?
第二，那男生大可打電話，熱騰騰的早餐不就送來了吗？即不用趕又不會遲到，另外兩三個同事也能一起享用。不是更好嗎？那是麥當勞早餐唆！

When your BMI more than 30
Today, my client told me she is using Xenical as her fat control medication. She is 92kgs, age 61, appearance : obesity. She mentioned when the oil used is lousy, it come out green colour. If the good oil is used, it come out yellow colour. A lot of oil will be floated above the waste. She bought for one month's supply cost about 1000 dollars. Flu Free injection
I bought my daughter to have the Flu Free injection two weeks ago. The cost is S$25/- for one injection. This vaccin has to be done annually. It suppose to increase the immunity. There is another injection for H1N1 which cost S$30/-.
Yesterday, my girl told me a lot of her classmate fall sick. One got throat infection, one got lung infection....... still they continue to come to school because they can not afford to miss school. I suppose at this critical stage, I may see wether the vaccin really work on my girl. If she is ok, that means the vaccin really work well. And so far as good.
The place I went to have the vaccin is at Paragon #09-11.

My current health state
Last Saturday, 22 May 2010, I joined the Lianhe Zaobao Lohas total wellness challenge 2010. I paid $12 for one session of talks, and S$5 for the body check up.
I am 47, height is 1.63m, weight is 64.4kg, my BMI is 24.2 while the standard is 18-23, the analysis say as long as don't exceed 25 is ok.
My Blood Glucose is 5.8mmol/l (before meal), the standard for female is before meal 4-6, and after meal 5-7. My Glucose level is ok. I am glade that I have cut down my eating rice habit for the past 1 and a half year. My friend eats orange every night for many years has high Glucose level. Balance diet is the key word.
My blood pressure is 121/76, the standard is 120/80. I passed.
My Body fat is 30.3%, the standard is (23-35%) I passed.
My general cholesterol check is 7.2mmol/l or 278mg/dl. High is more than 240, more than 6,
boderline is 200-240, or 5-6, desirable is less than 200 or 5. My cholesterol level is high. I reflect it must be I love to eat red meat like duck noodle, duck rice, beef noodle, mutton soup, I have eaten all these for the past 6 years. The analysis said cholesterol is built up over the year, not because what have you eaten yesterday. From now on, I have to cut down my red meat consumsion and eat more fish soup. We are what we eat.
My Bone density (provided by Biocalth) T-score is 4.8, and the stifness index is 138. Normal is below 2. The analysis said my cartilage( the soft bone) probably wear off. That explain why I probably has pain in the leg area, or the shoulder area. My leg is alright but its true that I have constant pain in my shoulder area. They recommended me to take BioCalth as suppliement. My problem is if I take calcium tablet, my head will be spining for the whole day, so I only take calcium tablet during my pregnancy period. Normal day, I would resist to take any calcium supplement. BioCalth girl promise me that their product will not give me the same problem becuase they use products of Vitamin C processed from botanic grains using scientific production processes. It dones not result in constipation and loss of appetite, it also help maintain healthy cartilage of our joins. It suitable for people of all ages including pregnant women and vegetarians. I bought two bottles. It is better to try now than feel sorry in the future.

Its ingredients are skimmed milk, corn syrup, buttermilk, vegetable oils, Lactose, Calcium Carbonate, Plant Sterols, Emulsifier, Milk Fat, Vitamins (Vitamin C, E, A, D, B6, B1, Nicotinamide, Folic Acid, D-Biotin), Soya Lecithin and Vanilla flavour.

Its cost S$39.90 from the book store, we get it FOC attending to the event. Plus all the other goodie we received it is a very good deal.
How to prevent Cervical Cancer(the sixth most common cancer), Health Promotion Board recommendation : sexually active women aged 25 -69 years should go for a Pap smear at least once every 3 years. Girls between 10 -45 can take vaccin injection, 3 jects cost S$450/- their promotion price is S$330/-. I am over 45, no vaccin for me.
Of course if we can afford, we should go for the full check up offer by SATA or any clinic in Singapore. The Package 1 is S$260/-, and package 2 is S$170/- before GST.

Dr Goh Keng Swee
Last Sunday (16 May 2010), I went to 48A Dunbar Walk to give my last tribute to Dr Goh Keng Swee. I have known Dr Goh from Chinese Newspaper since young. My impression is he is the only minister that can run the office from Finance to Defence and then to Education. But after his retirement, we can't find a single news about him from the Newspaper. That's has kept me from wondering what happen to our great leader for years since I was 21. When I heard about him again, it was the departure time.
I was very touch and tearful when I read the stories and the contributions he had made for Singapore. When I asked my younger friends now, actually not many youngster know about him. After I have read the newspaper report about his life contributions to Singapore, I think our social study or morale study should include the introduction of Dr Goh's words and life, so that our new generation will learn the spirit and the passion of Dr Goh. Don't let his legendary legacy die with him.
Dr Goh, I want to solute you, you are our nation's treasure. Thank you.

"Money Not Enough
Today, our neighbour's pub managress came to our shop to do foot massage. I took the opportunity to chat with her. I see her in the Pub almost every day, before the chat, I thought she is a poor uneducated Philipino girl, the only choice is working in the Pub, company the clients to drink till the wee hour to earn the miserable income to support the family. But I have an surprised answers.
This single mum has came to Singapore almost 20 years already. She worked as a nurse when she first came to Singapore. Now, she works in office to do accounts and admin in the morning from 8am to 2pm, then she came to the Pub in Lucky Plaza to cook and prepare the food for sales in the Pub. She will serve the customers and looks after those girls in Lucky Plaza till 1pm. After that she will go to Orchard Tower, her boss's second outlet to look after the business there untill 3pm. She reaches home at 4pm, and sleeps at 5pm. She will wake up at 7.30pm. She only sleeps for two and half hours every day except Saturday, Sunday and Public holiday.
Since she works like a robot, how much she makes every month? She has invested a two storey house in Holland Village five years ago. She paid about S$800,000/++ for the house, now this house can easily sell for 1.6 millions. She pays about S$4000/++ installment per month. Her total installment is 14 years. She rented out her rooms to three couples at S$800/each. She also help her mum and her sisters in Philiphines to build houses. I guessed she make four to five thousand per month. But I am wrong, she can make minimum S$9K per months. She got her basis salary, plus the 5% bonus when the target is hitted.
S$9000/per month! Many people claimed they have no money, but who is willing to get out of their comfort zone to make the money to meet their desire of their live!
I salute this lady for whatever she is.

The "Beautiful" Sad story
Last few day, I have a client from London. I did body massage, padicure and manicure for her. Actually she was a Singaporean who has been living in London since she was 21 years old. She was a former RI girl. I have total spent almost 6 hours with her, we chatted for a lot of things.
She stay alone in London with her "lovely child" of 11 years. "Her child" will have 30,000 sterling pound from her will, so that some one will look after "her child" if she die. This loving child of hers actually is a cat. When she travel, she put her cat in the animal hotel. She will have to pay 20 pound a day for the hotel. Since the cat is very closed to her, she doesn't want to stress the cat for too long, so she constraints herself she can only out for 2 and a half week the most every time she travel. She saved this cat when it was 6 months old. This cat can sense its owner. When the lady was on her way home in London, her cat will wait at the patio 15 mins before she arrived as though she has informed it to wait for her. The cat slept with her in the same bed every night. In the cold day, she even slept on her starmach.
This lady though is 72 years old, you can see that she must be a beautiful lady when she was young. She told me she was borned a beautiful baby. A few rich family wanted to adapt her as their daughter because she was so beautiful. Her mother didnot agreed of course but become very protective of her. When she grown up, her beauty was admired by so many people. She got brown hair, big eyes and nice skin, even the teacher said she must be adapted. Her mother used to hide her inside the room whenever there are young man or young boy visited their house. Whenever, her sisters' boyfriends saw her, would like to courtship her instead of her sisters. Even for her girl friends, it happened the same things. The girls would come after her why she steal their boy friends. The boy would tell her since he was not married to any one, they got the right to go for any girl they dream of. She was beaten up by her mother whenever there are boys wrote love letter to her. She said she didn't even know who were these boys some time. She didn't have chance to join any functions, partyies because she was too beautiful her mother ddin't allow her to join. Wherever she appeared, she would steal the lime light. Therefore, from young she hate and resent her beauty. She wished she was a Malay with dark skin. When her father tried to matchmade her to a rich tin miner in Malaysia, she found an excuse travel to London, after that she refused to come back to Singapore to commit any commitment made by her parents.
When she was in London, she loved to have sun bath. At that time, she didnot known about sunblock lotion, she used cooking oil applied to her face and the body, and she sun bath the whole afternoon. Of couse she has damaged her skin. She said she was practically cooked by the sun when using cooking oil over her face. She remembered she could peel layer and layer of skin from her face! She was not married until one year her mother visited her in London and told her she could not closed her eyes if she didn't see her get married in her life time. She has deep love for her mother, so she married at 41. However, the marriage did not work out, it broke off after 2 years because of adultery.
When her mother lived with her in London. One day, they have a fight over certain issues. So, she poured out her thought to her mother. She has thought all these years, her mother hate her and didn't love her, thats why she has beaten her and prohibited her from freedom. After hearing her cries, her mother broke down and knee down to her for her forgiven. She clarified her love for her, it is really the non-communication.
She said when her mum suffered stroked and couldn't talk and bed ridden. When she came back to Singapore to see her mum, her mum has very big reaction whenever, she saw her dear beloved daughter. Her other sister so jealous of her that said, "even we are the one that look after her also never get the same attention of what she got from her mum. "
Her mum ever disclosed to her that she wanted to give all her wealth to her, she requested her mum not to do that. Mum wanted to do this because she felt that she was not married and she was alone, money will help her. She declined her mum because this money she beleived would kill her relationship with her sisters and brothers. Futhermore, London is a welfare state, she got medical insurance from the Government, she got free medical care, she already got a house, she was alone, she no need to look after any one, so she no need so much money. In fact, when she die, she will donote all her money to charity and her cat.
She had many opportunity to marry rich guy, but she was not interested. When she married, she married to someone under social welfare scheme.
Don't you think this is a "beautiful" sad story of her. I do think so.
She has another friend even more sad. This friend of hers was a very wealthy rich lady living in Nassim Ave. She got many beautiful houses. She was a vigin all her life. Then, when she turned 65, she became crazy. She fantasized about sex life. She wanted to try out SEX before she die. She went alone to Europe tour. During the tour, she met a young handsome guy only 25 years old. She wanted to marry him. All her friends disapproved of her. She started to avoid everyone, and go ahead what she has been wanted all this while. She married the 25 years old Persian man. After her wedding day, she was so shy to call any of her friends so she called my client who lived in London. Prabably, she thought that London people is more open to discuss any things including sex life. The poor old lady told my clients her husband did not has sex with her after the marriage, he said she was too urgly and too old to arose him. He could not have sex with her! She tried all methods, she shaft her hair, putting perfum, put on beautiful dress............................... She asked my client how to make the man to have sex with her. My client told her the only way is he must love her. After 2 years of marriage, she has passed away, without sex we believed. My clients thought this man must have killed her friend. Lucily the old lady's brother was clever to sign the preagreement with the man, eventually, the man only get away 20 millions dollors, the old lady's family kept the 80 millions.
She said her niece, a sucessful lawyer who is 60 years old now also recently married to a guy who was ex Santa Hussin guard. She hope that she well for her marriage.
We ever saw some rich lonely lady, whenever, they go for function, she paid 700 to 2000 for a night for a guy so good looking and good in dancing to accompany her. We also seen some old lady went to Chin Mei to pay for service from young man there.
The most "popupar" Taiwanese lady, She choon Mei, she will buy Safari race car and and apartment to "her lover" but under installment plan. I supposed when there is no service from the man, the guy also can't find so much money to service the loan. When her father tried to matchmade her to a rich tin miner in Malaysia, she found an excuse travel to London, after that she refused to come back to Singapore to commit any commitment made by her parents.
When she was in London, she loved to have sun bath. At that time, she didnot known about sunblock lotion, she used cooking oil applied to her face and the body, and she sun bath the whole afternoon. Of couse she has damaged her skin. She said she was practically cooked by the sun when using cooking oil over her face. She remembered she could peel layer and layer of skin from her face! She was not married until one year her mother visited her in London and told her she could not closed her eyes if she didn't see her get married in her life time. She has deep love for her mother, so she married at 41. However, the marriage did not work out, it broke off after 2 years because of adultery.
When her mother lived with her in London. One day, they have a fight over certain issues. So, she poured out her thought to her mother. She has thought all these years, her mother hate her and didn't love her, thats why she has beaten her and prohibited her from freedom. After hearing her cries, her mother broke down and knee down to her for her forgiven. She clarified her love for her, it is really the non-communication.
She said when her mum suffered stroked and couldn't talk and bed ridden. When she came back to Singapore to see her mum, her mum has very big reaction whenever, she saw her dear beloved daughter. Her other sister so jealous of her that said, "even we are the one that look after her also never get the same attention of what she got from her mum. "
Her mum ever disclosed to her that she wanted to give all her wealth to her, she requested her mum not to do that. Mum wanted to do this because she felt that she was not married and she was alone, money will help her. She declined her mum because this money she beleived would kill her relationship with her sisters and brothers. Futhermore, London is a welfare state, she got medical insurance from the Government, she got free medical care, she already got a house, she was alone, she no need to look after any one, so she no need so much money. In fact, when she die, she will donote all her money to charity and her cat.

Play cheat in the office
Yesterday heard from our beautian that her beauty products salesgirl was caught red handed that she had kept more that S$20,000/- cash from the company, the company called her husband to settle the case. The husband eventually asked his boss to settle the twenty over thousand dollars on his behalf so that the company will not take action and report the case to the police.
We are all wondering what happen to her? Why she want to do such things? Last Saturday, she had just celebrated her daughter's birthday party in the East Coast Park. Every Sunday, their whole family attend church at City hall. She has portraited she has a loving husband and 2 understanding children. We just wonder what happen...............she seems a wonderful person............how can it happen?
Today, the picture had been clearer. This lady trying to cheat the company that she had hit the quota/target by forging the existing customers to place orders that doesn't exist. She manipulated the sales figures! She has been manipulated it for almost a year! I think this is the excess order she has order from the company, so that she can earn her incentives, bonus, or whatsoever.
She probally has kept quite a bit of stocks in her house, hence she doesn't have the amounts of money in her hand to pay back the money. The problem is after her incident was expose, she told her college that every where practice such methods. Its sound like it is totally alright with her, there is nothing wrong on her part, she just practice industrial norm.
She didn't realise that if not for her husband, she could be put into jail for corruption, or cheating whatever name judge could name it. She doesn't feel shame because she is the daughter of our almighty God. It is true that she doesn't know what is she doing?
Is it worth doing this way to bit the recession blue? Slower sales figures are expected during such recession period. Can we face the reality instead of resort to cheating?
The most wonderful things are this happy family is a new family. This lady's first husband actually is an abusive guy who hit her hard every time. She still proudly told others she was that type of woman that still serve tea to the abusive husband after the hit. This is her second marriage, and the children are from her first marriage. She was such a lucky lady that could find a second chance to start life over again.
Hopefully, she has learnt her lessons, after this incidents. And she will grow up as a wiser woman as we all see her a person that possess the capability to work. She probably need to work harder to achieve the real goal. No more cheating in future. God bless her.

My vision of our city
Vision 1:
Recently USA has completely switched from analog TV era to digital TV era. I see that Singapore in the near future will be do the same things. The rate for the digital TV will be lower and more new and old show can be viewed by demand. Our TV will be changing to LCD screen which is brighter, nicer and cheaper too.
Vision 2:
There are many complaints about the taxi, passergers always complaint not enough taxi or no taxi available. In future, all these complaints will be in the past, because in the future, all taxi will have the satallise connection to one company who are able to control all the taxi and are able to know where is the location of the taxi. From the control station, the company know the exact location of the taxi, whether there are resting or working.

Today my friend told me about her friend's unbelieveable love story.
Five years ago, her friend Ann, a 24 years old Malaysian girl, found a on line friend who is also a Malaysian, and working in the State illigelly. He works as a cook. They chat over the msn and see each other from the video cam and they can fell in loved.
The man advice the girl not to work, and he will support her by giving her the monthly allowance. Eventually, the girl has the money to buy a car, and paid for the deposit of a house. The man has probably supported her about US$60,000/-.
For the past five years, this girl did not see the man in real person, because she failed to get a valid visa to the USA due to her poor education level. That man regarded her like his wife and kept sending money to her for the past five years.
He recently join venture with friends to open a big restaurant in the State. He was holding 5% share, but he will not have name registered because of his illigel states.
And one day, the man told the girl he has found a new girl friend from China, and that is............ no more money, no more news, no more msn, no more facework....................................he has just disappeared from this world.
Left the girl broken heart, because she has put in her heart and soul to love this invisible man who regards her as his wife, and shower her with so many gifts and support. Some more this girl has some physical shortcome. She has a weak neck, she can't hold her neck properly because of the sickness during her young day.
She is broken and desperate for money now, because she has installment to be paid............... and no more support.
When I heard the story, I said she should see things at the bright side. Some people don't even get anythings out from the marriage. She did not lose any things and she has much to gain.
She should feel console already.
I also wish I can find one man like this. Anyone out there can help me by sending me money and just by chatting with me................wow I will be like living in a dream.....................so unreal......................so mistery.

Catch confessions of a shopaholic on 26 March
I know my friend is a shopaholic because even though she earns average more than four thousands dollars per month, she will said she has "no money" by middle of the month. She will asked her facial consultant whether could allow her to do a facial and padicure now and she will come back to pay in the next pay day which is probably 5th of the new month.
Shopaholic made them poor in financial management. Of course, shopaholic are optimistic person, they believe money will come in next month, definitely. Shopaholic are generous with friends, they will give away some of her stuff because there are no more space to accomodate her new stuffs or toys. Shopaholic has to buy somethings to make her feel good. They enjoy the process of purchasing than any things else.
I would like to watch this show with my teethage daughter who always has a long list of wish list to fullfill. Once completed the new list will appear. There are endless of desire and wishes to be fullfilled.

把木梳賣給和尚
有一家營運相當好的大公司，為擴大經營規模，決定高薪招聘業務主管。
廣告一打出來，報名者雲集。
面對眾多應聘者，招聘主試者說：
相馬不如賽馬，為了能 選拔出高素質的人才，
我們出一道實踐性的試題：就是想辦法 。
絕大多數應聘者感到困惑不解，甚至憤怒：
出家人要木梳何用？這不明擺著拿人開玩笑嗎？
於是紛紛拂袖而去，最後只剩下三個應聘者：甲、乙和丙。
主試者交待：「以十日為限，屆時向我彙報銷售成果。」
十天一到。
主試者問甲：「賣出多少把？」
答：「１把。」
「怎麼賣的？」
甲講述了歷盡的辛苦，遊說和尚應當買把梳子，無甚效果，還慘遭和尚的責罵，
好在下山途中遇到一個小和尚一邊曬太陽，一邊使勁撓著頭皮。
甲 靈機一動，遞上木梳，小和尚用後滿心歡喜，於是買下一把。

主試者問乙：「賣出多少把？」
答：「10 把。」
「怎麼賣的？」
乙說他去了一座名山古寺，由於山高風大，進香者的頭髮都被吹亂了，
他找到寺院的住持說：「蓬頭垢面是對佛的不敬。應在每座廟的香案前放把木梳，供善男信女梳理鬢髮。」
住持採納了他的建議。那山有十座廟，於是買下了10 把木梳。

主試者問丙：「賣出多少把？」
答：「1000把。」
主試者驚問：「怎麼賣的？」
丙說他到一個頗具盛名、香火極旺的深山寶剎，朝聖者、施主絡繹不絕。
丙對住持說： 「凡來進香參觀者，多有一顆虔誠之心，寶剎應有所回贈，以紀念，
保佑其平安吉祥，鼓勵其多做善事。
我有一批木梳，您的書法超群，可刻上『積善梳』三個字，便可做贈品。」
住持大喜，立即買下 1000 把木梳。
得到「積善梳」的施主與香客也很是高興，一傳十、十傳百，朝聖者更多，香火更旺。

Canon Digital IXUS 95IS
After browsing Canon website and youtube for the review, I finally made up my mind to purchase Canon Digital IXUS 80IS. I went to Challenger in Funan Centre. I want the pink colour camera, they don't have stocks and left only the blue colour. I told them I only want pink colour, because my daughter want only pink colour. They quickly introduced me the lastest arrival IXUS95IS. 85IS is selling at S$349/- and giving a 4GB SG card, while this 95IS is selling at S$399/- and giving a 8GB SG card. Their differences are 85 is 8 Mega Pixels, and using Digic III technology; while the 95 is 10 Mega Pixels, and using Digic 4 technology, and has new Scene Detection Technology.
Infact, this 95 model totally fix my generation because it is fully automatic, it is very easy to use and yet able to produce the professional pictures.
I actually want to choose Nikon coolpix instead of Canon, but I found there are more reveiw in the youtube for Canon over Nikon. And I love the transparency of the Canon website over Nikon website. Canon show the prices and I'm able to do the products comparation. And I am able to register for a free 2 hours training class after I have purchase the products impress me a lot. In order to really master the feature of this new camera, I really appeciate the "lesson" offer to me professionally.
The price is consider reasonable. I remember many of my friends used to buy other brand 8Mega Pixel of almost S$700/-over dollars.
I love this camera, because it is an intelligent camera. Next time you will be able to see better pictures taken by me...................

A Cock's Story
Yesterday nite, I went dinner with Donny at Madam Wong's place. This is an organic vegetalian's restaurant at Smith Street. She thought it is too expensive, so she went on to look at another farm. She show the small chicks which was just 2 to 3 days old. The farm asked for S$35/- each. After some negotiation, she managed to close the deal at S$25/- each and she bought 4 little chicks - 3 white and 1 black without knowing the sex of the chick. The seller told her it will be all your luck, because they are too small to distingush the sexual identity.
She kept the chicks inside the court yard during the day, and brought them to the toilet during the nite. After a few weeks, the chicks grow gradually, and it was obviously one is the cock, and the other three are the hens. The three hens eventually are the wife and concubine to the cock. Madam Wong said you will know which hen is the wife and which are the concubine. The wife is fat, elegant, fierce and highly jealous, while the concubine is skinnier and more tame than the wife. Richman's House
If I tell you I have a friend living in a Bungalow, what do you think of the people who live inside there? We imagine they are educated, successful, generous, sociable, communication effectively especially in their business circle, ego very high and very proud ..........right?
Today is Sunday, two maids who are neighbour stop by our shop for foot and back massage. We have a little chat while they are resting in our shop.
Their employers are all stay in the Bungalow in Thomas area. One employer is an lawyer, their parents, the old pa pa and old ma ma are very difficult person. They have 3 maids, our friend here is working as chief cook in the house, and she also take care of the two old folk, the other 2 maids suppose to be her assistants. She has to prepare difference disces for the two old person. If the food is not up to their expectation, they will threw temper and threw the food into the dust bin. The old man love to say, "Fuck you", "stupid" "Go to die la..." "I will slap you and send you back to your country...", "bloody Mary..." This two old couple are "very cute", whenever the wife threw tantrums, the husband will become nice person; and vice-versa. They scold very loud until their neighbour also can hear them.
They don't give any privacy to the maids. They install camera every where in their house, even the toilet if I did not hear wrongly. They have four refrigerators in the house, they always invite friends for majong session. The chief cook has to prepare a lot of dessert, fresh bread for the guest. The oldman some times has friends come over, in font of the friends, they always praise the maids, say their maids are very good, and good cook etc. Once the guest went back, he will start all the nonsense again. But, they have few good things, they pay the maid S$800/month, and the majong kaki will give tips to the chief cook. So, she can earn quite a bit from this house. And they are very generous with their food, the maid won't get hungry.
The other maid is not so lucky then, she always left hungry after the hard work. Their neighbour's mum is a calculating lady, they are very rich, they have 3 other houses beside this bungalow. She is so stingy with the maid that she don't give her enough food to eat. Imagine she is the only maid in this bungalow. She has to do every things in the house, some times she has to operate a heavy police machine to police the marble for the house. After hard work, she just don't give food to the maid. Some times the chief cook will pass some food to her through the fence to her to eat. The old couples are generous with it although they have bad temper and bad mouse. Once, the madam brough the maid to clear up her 3 other houses, after that, again, she did't give her any food.
Their children of aged 27, 28 years old know their mother pattern. The children some times will threw a package or two of instand noodle to the maid's room without letting their mum know. This mum some months hold the wages from the maid, eventually, she has to borrow money from the friends. This maid can't stand her mum's greediness that she decided to go back next week without waiting till the contract end eventhough her contract is going to end in March. She just cannot take it any more. She said the sir and the children are nice people, the sir asked her to stay and promise to give her a raise in salary also can not change her mind.
The chief cook has been in Singapore for 15 years, she contributed all her hard work money to her family, she said in Iloilo, her home town, she is a queen, people respect her, she has a bungalow in her home town, a farm rare the chicken to lay eggs and sell to others, she also own a maid agency in her home town.
She is an entrepreneur and a kind hearted thirty somethings lady. She has help to finance her boy friends for his study for 10 years, that jerk ditched her for other girl after graduation. Her heart was broken and its shut off after that.
Her neighbour from the otherside also not an easy person, they ever lock the Indonesian maid outside of the house and don't let her sleep in her bed. This chief cook saw what happen, pass a chair to the maid, and let the maid climb over to her house and stay there overnight. The next day, the maid went to report police, that employer got warning from the police. It seems that if they got 3 warning letters, they will not able to apply for any new maids to work for them. Eventully that house owner qualleled with her owner over the matter. She said, she dare not too busy body since then.
Three bungalows, all got evil people staying inside. They are rich in money, but they are poor in morale and heart. Frankly, whenever I see the employers was punished for ill treating their maids, I thought that was just an isolated cases. But, after what I heard, I think they are many sick employers aroung even they are in the rich nighbourhood.
Even an old lady who worked as part time maid also ever encounter one situation. After her three hours hardwork in that house, she asked the employer for a cup of water. That owner simply say "No", of course our local part time maid is luckier, because the next time that owner called for help again, she just need to reject it without going back to the same house. But, what can our Indonesian and Phillipino maid suppose to do after took so much trouble to get out of their county and working in the foreign land!

Make Money in Valentine's day
On 13 Feb, I met a customer holding a box full of roses standing inside the Orchard MRT, I am very surprise to see her selling roses in Valentine's day eve. I know she has a full time job! I chated with her how she was going into this business! She said few years ago, she was helping a friend selling roses, she sold about 60 roses, and earned about S$60/- over two days. The next year, she decided to be her own boss, and make the money all by herself.
She said she ever worked in the garden. During Chinese New Year, she worked at night from Monday to Friday and full day for Saturday and Sunday. After she worked for one month, she earned about additional income of S$1000/-.
She really inspired me a lot. Every one talk about recession, a lot of us said money not enough, money hard to find. But, if we do think of ways to make money, money is always there waiting for us.

Good Father
Only lately, I found out that what is good father mean. First time, I heard from daughter's best friend. She is the oversea student from Thailand, she said after her GCE 'O' level in Singapoe, she will most likely going back to Thailand to study for 4 years in Private University and after that she will be going to the State to further her study for master degree. She said these with confidence, because her father has been discussing the path with his three children. And her older sister and brother has been following the path that the father has planned for them.
Recently, I and my girl friends have steam boat in one of my girl friend's condo. She has three boys. One boy is under pilot training in Australia, and the other two twins are under National Service. She said her husband has prepared all the finanical support for the three boys' to study in the University. Her elder son hope to get through the pilot training, so that the Government will support his University study. He wishes that he can lessen the load from his father.
I have another friend, he is 56 this year, he has been working as a chief for the pass 30 years. He told us, when his son study in Nanyang Junior college and did not do well in his chemistry. He was called by the Principal who then advice him to transfer his son out from their school. He told the Principal, to be fair, give him 6 months, if his son did not improve, he will pull out his son accordingly. Immediately, he looked out for the best professor in Chemistry to tuitor his son. When the year end result, his son passed the subject in flying color. He spent S$1000/month for the tuition. After his son passed out from the Junior college, he got into the University course which he doesn't quite interested. The son told the father he prefer the IT course, and thinking of going to Poly then go to the University later. My friend told his son do not waste time, and bring him to Melborn the next day to enrol him into the Australian University to study the course that he wanted. He spent about S$100,000/- for his son three years oversea study. Today, his son is working in the IT Banking sector, has a very bright future ahead of him. Before his son's graduation from Australia, he applied PR for his son. Hence, today, his son has found a job in Australia, and he will be flying over there to work in two months time.
All these committed father has not only care from their wife and children, they plan and fullfill all their dream. He works hard and provide all the necessary to their children.
I write down all these story, because I want to remind myself how to defind a good man and good father.

"Vote However U Like"
I have read the headline : Answer to prayer - Oprah gives school S$522K (US$365,000) with amazed. The Ron Clark Academy is founded by teacher Ron Clark. The teacher who finds private donors to pay most of the US$14,000 annual tuition for each student, teach all day and fundraise at night. The amounts of donation will pay for 26 children to attend the school for one year. The 80 student school depends almost entirely on donation to operate.
Clark and his students became overnight stars during the Presidential Election when a video of the students performing a rap they wrote grabbed the public 's attention on YouTube. The children performed the rap, called Vote however U like, on TV shows including CNN and BET. Teachers at the school often use rapping, dancing and drumming to help students learn.
Clark , who taught in one of New York City's (South Atlanta) toughest schools and wrote the best-selling teaching book The Essential 55 opened the school last year with proceeds from his book and private donation.
Frankly, I see the video with tears. I am touched and I am amazed how the students responded during the interview. I am assured that American has hope since they are able to raise such fine intelligent kids.
I recently met a grade 5 kids from our neighbouring country. He always skip school becase he said the teacher doesn't teach. His father brought him to be appendics in a car workshop. For the past one year, he goes to school in the morning and work in the workshop after school. He works almost every day and was given S$100 wages every month. I have spoken to the boy, he is an intelligent kid, but what to do if the teachers don't teach or don't know how to teach!

Lucky Plaza toilet entry on Sunday
In Singapore, the foreign workers from different entices group will have their regular meeting place every Sunday. Burmese will meet at Penisular Plaza; Indian will meet at Serangoon Road Little India; Thai national will meet at Golden Mile Tower at Beach Road; while Phillipines will meet at Lucky Plaza.
Lucky Plaza is crowded with Philiphines on every Sunday. Almost all those domestic workers who can rest on Sunday will come to Lucky Plaza to meet friends for lunch, remitten of money, visit the tropical phillipines provision store, cut hair, manicure, padicure, even picnic along Orchard Road.
Every Sunday, the lady toilets have long queue because of the crowd. All shopkeepers have to follow in the long queue , causes the shopkeepers lots of inconvinences. Finally, from last Sunday, the building management specially made the second floor toilet solely for the pass holders only. It is a good change, and it is welcome by all the shopkeepers because the queue is short and the toilet is cleaner.
The management put up a sign shown that strictly for toilet pass holders only. And the security gurard was there to guard the entry too.
Today, after I have finished the padicure, I hold the backet of dirty water headed to toilet without the pass. The lady security gurard whom I never seen before said to me, "Withoug pass? You go back to take your pass!" I told her I won't go to the toilet then, I just want to throw the water into the basin which is outside the toilet. I felt she was unreasonable and unpassionate, doesn't the purpose of the closure to the public is to convinence the shopkeeper? Hence I insisted my way to the basin to clean up the backet.
She followed me and raised her voice, "I don't care, my management told me to see the pass, without the pass you can not enter! What you want? You want me to call my big boss here to talk to you." I felt so agnoring, I said,"Can't you see I am the worker here? If you need the pass to get in the toilet, I can don't go into the toilet now, I just want to clean up my backet!"
After almost 40 minutes later that afternoon, we all heard the big boss which the security guard referring to, shouted loudly across the corridor to another fellow security guard, "I don't want to hear sorry, you just do what I tell you to do!............"
Anyway, I returned to the toilet with the pass later.
I think nowadays everyone is under tremendous pressure in work and in life.

It is a good change, and it is welcome by all the shopkeepers because the queue is short and the toilet is cleaner.
The management put up a sign shown that strictly for toilet pass holders only. And the security gurard was there to guard the entry too.
Today, after I have finished the padicure, I hold the backet of dirty water headed to toilet without the pass. The lady security gurard whom I never seen before said to me, "Withoug pass? You go back to take your pass!" I told her I won't go to the toilet then, I just want to throw the water into the basin which is outside the toilet. I felt she was unreasonable and unpassionate, doesn't the purpose of the closure to the public is to convinence the shopkeeper? Hence I insisted my way to the basin to clean up the backet.
She followed me and raised her voice, "I don't care, my management told me to see the pass, without the pass you can not enter! What you want? You want me to call my big boss here to talk to you." I felt so agnoring, I said,"Can't you see I am the worker here? If you need the pass to get in the toilet, I can don't go into the toilet now, I just want to clean up my backet!"
After almost 40 minutes later that afternoon, we all heard the big boss which the security guard referring to, shouted loudly across the corridor to another fellow security guard, "I don't want to hear sorry, you just do what I tell you to do!............"
Anyway, I returned to the toilet with the pass later.
I think nowadays everyone is under tremendous pressure in work and in life.

Laughing can save life
In channel U every Sunday 12.45am in the midnight, there is this programme made by Korean, touch on the topic that enhancing the human life.
The week before, the programme talk about power walk. This week it touches on Laughing. The scientic has testified that the power of a few minutes of good laugh is equivalent to 9 mins of vigorous exercise.
In the show, there are one couple, both suffered from terminate illnesses - cancer which according to the doctors, they only have 1% chance of living. But they survived because they laugh and laugh the whole day long.
A lot of people don't know how to laugh! Actually what you need to do is squeeze the end of the mouth up, your facial expression already has a lot of changes. Even you don't laugh, see other people laugh has the same effect also.
You can cry over the sad moment, the tear is actually cleansing your eyes, but remember to laugh even there is nothing to laugh about. In India, there is one group of men and women, every morning they went to the park, their exercise are laughing, yes, laughing, laughing and laughing even there is nothing to laugh about.

Power Walking
What is "Power walk"?
Power walk is the foot contacted the floor fully when walking, with the hands swinging high and spiral core stand straight. For the first 30 minutes of walking, the body will shake away the carborhydrate, it will follow by shaking away the fat. Money not enough 2
My daughter after watch the show, asked me to go for it. When I watch the show, ,I have the same reaction as my daughter, I laughed and cried throughout the show because the story is very closed to our heart.
I recommended my friends to watch the show. One of them is a Korean lady. Although she is Korean, but she has moved to Singapore since 19, she married here, have 3 children here, she has business here, she has called Singapore her home, she has no intention to move back to Korea even she is going through the divorce process now.
She told us after seeing the show, she thought about her mother who is now 84 years old. Her mum is not well, and is looked after by her elder brother. So she called her mother to chat. Her brother half way take over the phone, didn't sound very happy even though they have not been in touch for some times. Her brother seems angry that he has to take sole responsibility to look after the sick mother, with so many daughters, none offer to help.
My friend explained why she thinks her brother should look after the mother. When they were young, the family is poor, but the mother make sure that the brother has new make to order uniform to wear to school everry year. He enjoy big pocket money. While my friend never has a single new uniform throughout her school day, every things she has are used items, used dress, used school bag. She decided to leave home since 15. She worked and find the money to study all by herself. She thought all this while, since her brother has everythings best from the mother, and the mother adored him the most, when she was old, he looks after her is natural.
The next day, her sister called her to revive her brother reaction, her brother wants the sister to take over the mother. My friend's 2 sisters all has their own personal problem, so the best person to take over the mother would be my friend because she is the most financially steady among her family. She is the only one with the energy and the mean.
She told her sister to relate to her brother that she can take over the mother and bring her to Singapore to look after her but once she was in Singapore, she will has to die in Singapore because she will not fly her body back to Korea for funeral. You guessed what, the brother agreed, and said he hands off to look after the mother. She can do whatever by all mean. And tells her, whatever documents she needs, they will prepare for her so that she is able to bring her mother to Singapore.
So, my friend decided to bring her mother to Singapore. She said during young day, she did not get much things from her mother, but she thinks look after her until she is capable of looking after herself was good enough. It is her payback time. Furthermore, she is very lonely in Singapore, because her Singaporean husband has gone for other woman.
This is one of the outcome of watching a good movie.

Maid
My friend daughter's maid took her time off to go to the Manpower office to file a complain that she was asked to do head massage for her employer after 10pm.............
My friend is an 74 years old lady with lots of wisdom. She teach her daughter to go for the interview if she was asked by the authority. Her arugment is they didn't operate a spa or massage parlor, the maid was not asked to work either of these place. The employer was so busy whole day outside, when the employer asked the maid to do some massage on her head because she got headache, what is the problem? This art is considered as abuse?

Insurance
Every years we have ford out a couple of hundreds dollars to buy insurance through CPF deduction or cash payment, but do I really know what am I buying? Do I know when can I claim? What can I claim if I was hospitalised? What is the cash portion do I need to responsible? Cover till what age? Is it enough coverage for anythings happened? Frankly, recently I had spoken to an insurance agent, I think I am blind, I don't know much about the insurance, I don't know the details, I am negligence. I don't know it is because I stupid or I pretent everythings is ok as long as I have brought some insurance which the government has recommended.
I have brought Incomeshield (Medishield) and Eldershield for myself, as well as Incomeshield for Dependant for all my three children. I will sort out the matters in a more clearer picture later.
I must not be so negligence.

South Africa
Today I have a lady customer from South Africa, she was here in Singapore for 3 days and will be going to stay in Australia for 1 months. She is migrating to Australia as soon as she settle her business in South Africa.
She was born in South Africa, she has Guest House business there. Her husband own a Guest House business before their marriage, she has another Guest House called her own eventually. They have built up the business 20 years together. One Guest House has grown from 5 bedroom to 18 bedroom, accomplished with shopping area, restaurant, and swimming pool. She love South Africa, so why they want to sell away their business and migrate to another strange land?
She said, nowaday, the South Africa government ruled that the white people has to give away 3-5% of their company shares to the native black, and let them involved in their business, otherwise, they can't run the business. Because the black think that what belong to the white should belong to the black.
She was very upset about the changes in this ruling. She said this is their own business they have built from scatch. When she was young, her family was very poor. She felt the ruling is not fair and it is the black discriminate the white rather vice versa. She said nowadays, a lot of white are considering moving out of South Africa.
She managed to sell away her business for 3.5 millions. She said they took almost 1 years to get the approval from the Australian government.
The Australian government welcome either talented people or wealthy people to settle in Australia. They don't have talent, but they have 1.3 millions Australian dollars for investment, they are qualified. They applied and waited for the approval for almost 1 year. She estimated from application, selling their business in South Africa, and finally settle in Australia, will take about 2 years. They intend to travel around Australia for at least 6 months before they will decide what business to take.
She wanted to buy an apartment for her daughter, and then, they will buy an apartment for themself.
Although her future still very bright, but what I see in her now : she is angry and sad. But live still has to move on............................

The myth of vinegar
Two days ago, I have dinner with a friend in a vegetalian restaurant at Smith Street in China Town. After dinner, we chat for a while with the lady boss of the restaurant. I forgot what we chat, eventually she mentioned that she had visited a friend in the India hospital. In the hospital, she saw 2 girls have the big tummy. These 2 girls don't know how but got the leech staying in thier tummy. The leech has been growing eggs and baby in the tummy. The doctor did not dare to do the operation on the girl. They are left in the hospital until their time to die. One girl has died. Another girl was lucky because a Malaysian asked permission from her parents and brought her back to Malaysia and used the Chinese Traditional method to treat her since death is the only option in her local hospital.
She and her family members arrived in Malaysia. This man used the chinese herb and vinegar to burn and let the smoke passed through her anus, and she was asked to drink the vinegar as well. She eventually past out all the leech from her stomach.
The lady boss told us, whenever she went to India, she will go to doctor to get a preventive injection. During and after the trip, we will drink a lot of vinegar to clean and clear the possible virus and worm which she might have infected or caught.
I want to write this story down, so that whenever, we caught any virus which can't even cured by the doctor, we will at least try out vinegar, it might works, who's know!

Garden Festival in Singapore
I have visited the Garden exhibition in Suntec City on 25 July 08. The admission fee during weekend is S$12/- instead of S$6/- during the week day. Although all the master piece are nice, I don't understand why I feel bored when I browsing the 2 halls. I only took a few pictures for memories of the trip.

Forever Living
On 1st week of July, I saw an advertisement to enage part time beautician, and it stated that they will allow the sucessful candidate to enjoy subsidies for the facial training course.
I called and they tried to fix an appointment with me. I stopped at Clarke Quay MRT station, and exit by B exit, cross the road, then I saw the Forever Living Building right in front. The young man waited for me at the traffic light in front of their building. In my heart I think, another MLM!
Forever Living has bought this historical building for 1 billion dollars four years ago. I remembered I ever came to this building one evening, it was convented from hospital to a disco place then.
Frankly, I think this historical building is under a good hand of Forever Living.

They offer me a 25 hours beauty couse for S$599/- and I can buy 13 items of the skin care products at the cost of S$99/-. The actual value of the 13 items is about S$400++ if buying at retail price. Because I wanted to learn facial for a long time, so I decised to sign up for it. The other considerations included
- I wanted to tape on their marketing skill and support.
- The company has been around for 30 years, that's means their products has been proven for 30 years. From my own experience, I might not like MLM, but I can not denise that MLM products are usually good, special and exclusive.
- I might able to have a salon set up in my house.
- Their products costs are very attractive and reasonable.
- This is a rich company. The company has brought the heritage 100 years old building for 1 billion dollars. It is always good, able to stick to someone rich and wealthy.
- Since their brand has been established worldwide 78 countries, I think it will be easy to do sales just mention their brand. The customers will not question me on the quality and branding problems.
I never thought I will have any success in MLM, but I don't mind keep on learning somethings new from others.

Crab
That day, I was doing the foot reflexology for a European couples. They have just finished their three and a half hours buffet lunch in Raffles City Hotel. They said the foods were so nice that they could not resist but just eat and eat. When they talk about our Chilli crab from Sri Lanka, they mentioned they have eaten the gaint Japanese crab, and the long claw Alaska crab. Frankly, I did not know all these, this is the first time I heard about Alaska and the Japanese crab. So, I check the google, these are what I found.

Learning to do Home Cook Pizza
On 11 July (Fri) I attended a 1day Italian CuisineWorkshop Recipe by Mrs Jambu at Kampong Kembangan Community Club. She is a good cook, after the lesson, I think I can make Pizza by myself. The following is the recipe.Italian Pizza
Ingredients :
300 grams Bread Flour
8 grams sugar
24 grams shortening
1 tsp Yeast (dry yeast)
240ml water
Topping - Ingredients :
250 grams Grated Mozzarella cheese
1 tomato sliced thick
1 big Onion -ring
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 small can pineapple
1 small can small can mushroom sliced
1 can Tuna fish
Method :
- Place flour on a clean table and make a well
- In the well mix salt, sugar, shortening and yeast
- Add water slowly and mix to form dough
- Knead well until smooth and elastic
- Divide dough into two
- Coated with shortening then cover and rest for 10 mins
- Re-knead and place the rolled dough into the baking tray
- Before resting for 10 mins, using a fork to prick holes before baking
- Pre-bake in the oven at temperature 180 degree C for 10 to 15 mins
- Spread sauce and gamish with topping
- Grill until golden brown using top grill
For Sauce - Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 can tomato paste + 1 tbsp of water
- 200 grams Tomato (Chopped)
- 50-100 grams sun dried tomatoes
- 2 tbsp chili sauce or 1 tsp chili powder
- 3 cloves Chopped garlic
- 50 grams chopped Onion
- 1 tsp Vinegar
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tbsp Oregano
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Method :
- Saute onion and tomato paste, add in all the sauce and spices
- Cook for 1-2 mins, add chopped Tomato (add a little water if required) Cook until thicken.
- Cool 0 then spread on the cooked dough
- Place topping and grill until golden brown

Plastic surgery
My friends have sent their twin for plastic surgery for their jaw before they serve their National Service. The operation was done in Mount Elizebeth Hospital. Each operation cost more than 20K. After the operation, the boys can chew their food better than before. Their look have become more attractive. The result of the operations are very positive except the money has spent. These lucky boys must thankful to their parents for their sacrify and willingness to part this sum of money for the better of their future.

Frankly, the moment we pick up the paper, my friend and I are wondering, what is the difference between autonomy and independence. We guess independence means "no government", autonomy means still has "government". Any way, we are very poor in the history, we don't know what is the history between the Tibet and the China, just like we still don't quite know what is the story about the World War I and World War II.
We are more concern about the cyclone victims in Burma. No matter what we still think that Olympic Game should not be disturbed. It is Sport after all.

Look at this family! The moment this family on board this MRT, after setting down on the seat, without second thought every one of them took out their book and read in the MRT. You see them so engross in their reading. Their big sister even standing without the seat also read.
I was seating just next to their parents. I heard the father discuss or highlighted some points from the bible enrichment book with the mother. They didn't waste any time in the MRT. Reading is so natural to them.
Nail Studio
Last Saturday, my friend has an grand opening of her Nail Studio at People's Park Complex, on 3rd Floor above the hawker centre. I think this hawker center has just gone through the renovation work. This place used to be the shopping center of the older generation. After the renovation, this place looks very promising to be the next shopping location for the younster like Far East Plaza, and the Bugis Village. The addition of the escalator and the location is above the MRT station, made this place seems has very bright future though not many people has known about this "new" place yet partly also because the exterior wall has not changed.
There is lion dance and buffet lunch for more than 30 relatives and friends. My friend took over this place from a lady who successfully tender the 2 units, got the place and after the renovation, then got pregnant and then realised that she was not capable to run the studio because she could not stand the smell of the Acrylic nail.
Their friends not only sent them flowers, they came for the service and at the same time buy the package from them, very supportive. Their social network is very good.
This place got very high ceiling. My friend install a beautiful crystalised lighting. They also installed 2 aircon, I think the monthly electricity will be very high. The nail dryer is about 300W, it is not 50W like fan! The total area of this place is about 400 sq ft. This shop renting from HDB direct does not mean cheap rent. It is about the same price as you rent a shop at Lucky Plaze in Orchard Road. I believed my entrepreuner friend are able to do a prosperous business here.
I like this picture that adhered to the front door. The tip of the nail is the design of the US dollars, very creative.
Very simple painting and lighting, without any blockage and the black and white setting made this place very cosy. 
The 2 tables for the nail station. They install an computer there so that they can serving the net while in the shop. This computer keep the children present there from their bordom. The pictures at the wall were specially ordered from OPI from the States, cost S$28/each.
The entrance and the cashier counter. Behind the counter are four seats for the Padicure and Manicure. This place has no water output in the unit. They overcome the problem by getting a mobile barrel like the picture below and a big container that contain all the waste water, very brilliant.
Behind this wall is the small storage place to put the staff handbags, water supplies, tea preparation area. The colour scheme and the 风水 (the feng shui) was follow the advice of their paster from the Thai temple. Their paster came to pray for them that evening.
How to install and type Chinese characters (Window XP)

Thanks to the Geylang Methodist Primary School. The school just started using computer learning at home scheme, so they give their student a step by step installation guide so that the students able to key in the Chinese character for the chinese assisgnment. I have been trying to type Chinese character using computer but don't know how to fix it for many many years. Now then I see how (Really never take things for granted). I really appreciate the effort of the teacher. The setting is as follow.
1. Go to Control Panel
2. Regional and Language Options
3. Click : Language
4. Tick : Install Files for East Asian Languages to install the Chinese files.
5. After step 4, click Details
6. Go to setting, then click Add
7. Input Language : Chinese PRC
8. Keyboard Layout/IME: Microsoft Pinyin IME 2003/Microsoft Pinyin IME 3.0
9. Now you can type Chinese in any software. When you are typing, you can press shift+Alt to switch between English and Chinese. You can also click Language icon below your windows to switch.
How to type faster? (For Microsoft Pinyin IME 3.0 only)
1. Open Microsoft Word
2. Use your mouse points to the Language icon
3. Right click open the menu and choose Restore the language bar
4. Switch to Chinese PRC
5. Go to Context menu, then Properties
6. Tick Prompt Step by Step, incomplete input, Fussy input. Then click OK.

Noble price nomination for this giant fan?
First time I ever seen such a giant fan! This fan is installed inside the Bugis Village, at the centre of the mall. The length of each leaf at least 3m long. It helps to circulate the air inside this congested mall. You feel cool when you are inside the mall in the dame hot day. I believed the electricity consumption of this fan is a lot cheaper than the air conditioning. The fan allows the open concept of the mall. If it is air conditioning the whole place, the mall has to be closed up. So, I feel strongly that the designer of this gaint fan should be awarded some kind of innovative award. The team should be commanded and rewarded. Great design! Hope to see more of the creative design!
This is the packaging design from Japan. Japanese always take great pain to design their packaging. Look at this box, it has the shape of peanut, it is actually the biscuit inside wrap with red bean paste. The biscuit is the design of giant peanut. It is great to be a gift when you return from Japan.
