This is the drink store in the China Town hawker centre next to OG. The store was operated by 2-3 elder ladies. Whenever, the customer come, they will ask the customer to touch on the screen what item they want. There is another screen inside where the aunties prepare the drink. The aunties will reconfirm with the customer the item again, and collect the money accordingly.Just along to this store, there is a fish noodle store, they have a precision scale to weigh the weight of the raw fish. The portion of S$3/- and the S$5/- portion are difference obviously.

This hawker stall seems quite innovative, leveraging on technology to boost his business. I'm not exactly sure if they really need this type of technology for a drinks stall...I mean all that the customer wants is a drink, and how to prepare the drink etc, you don't need that kind of technology.
But of course, if it helps the owners of the staff to keep track of sales and the popularity of drinks which influence his/her decision to stock up ingredients etc, the investment in technology would be most worthwhile.
Incidentally, this is not the only hawker stall in S'pore that leverages on technology. Have come across stalls in the hawker centre in Old Airport road which had an electronic counter. In this case, I think the technology benefits both the hawker and the consumer..i.e. save time.
