This "Twin chilli" was discovered by me from the stocks of chilli I bought recently.

In ancient China, the rich girls are forced to wrap their feet from young, probably as young as six years old. When the girl grown up, their feet will still remain the same length as the six years old kid. Their feet were seriously deformed, and they can't move properly. But since they were all rich girls, they probably has servants to assist them in every things and any things.

Look at this feet, I really wonder is this girl's previous life is from the rich family, hence her feet is born as small as the ancient lady!

"Tien Chu"

This chain belong to a Fung Shui master. The "Tien Chu" was from Tibet. Guess how much it cost for this chain? It is few thousand Singapore dollars. He said he will sell one single "Tien Chu" to us for S$380/-. I borrowed the chain and felt the energy, I can feel the energy. This chain has very nice fragrance. He said because they pray, hence the Tien Chu has the nice fragrance.


This is another special piece of Tien Chu. I just want to share with you what is the real Tien Chu.

The interesting big drain along Kembangan

Can you see the interesting part of this picture? There is one single wave kept pushing forwards. Only one wave.

The water infront of the wave was still water.

Sometimes, you will see the small waterfall was formed from the step. If there is more steps, I think you will see a more interesting waterfall.

Along the drain, some times you can find white crane looking for fishes.

A newly emerged "fish spa" is becoming fashionable in many hot spring resorts, and has attracted even more customers, all curious about this peculiar treatment.
At such a spa, many Garra Rufa, a type of small tropical fish, also nicknamed Chinchin Yu, nibble fish or simply doctor fish, are put in hot springs. As they can live and swim freely in at least 43-degree-hot waters, they are naturally used for the treatment of skin diseases in such spas.
When placed in the spa, these fish can feed themselves on the dead cells of the human body, since they only consume such cells, leaving the healthy skin of the human body to grow. The whole process is reportedly free of pain. It won't hurt and the bather might feel a pleasant tingling on his or her skin.
The fish species are often found in the river basins in the Middle East, including Syria, Iraq, Iran and Turkey, and thus is also called Turkish Fish. It is legally protected from commercial exploitation in Turkey due to concerns over harvesting for export.
In 2006, the first Asian Doctor Fish spa resort opened in Hakone, Japan. These fish are used to clean the feet of the bathers at the spa. Recently, such spas become fashionable in resorts in China and South Korea.

Look at this charming young man. Look at his nice groom hair!
He is wearing a wig that measure to made according to his head size, and colour. The wig was made in Iran, yes Iran. It was made of natural human hair, and the cost is about S$315/- only...........very reasonable price. He said he glue it into his head, and it won't drop...... amazing.

I said she is wearing a wig. But they insist it is her natural hair. I still think it is a wig, but this wig might be made from her own hair.

Cute dog from France?

You see this cute dog was wearing a pair of fashionable glasses, a pair of socks etc. Are you thinking that this dog was strolling on the road in Frence? To tell you honestly, it can be seen in Aljunied MRT area. The owner will bring it out every evening time to stroll around in Aljunied area. I wonder how much the owner needs to maintain his "daughter"?

Gold for the nail? Anyone?

These hand belong to a French lady. I noticed something is very striking on her last finger, I thought she is using a Gold art work on her nail. She said, it is real gold. She Glued the Gold on her nails!

On 16 Feb 08, Saturday, kid central channel has this Saturday night movie, "The Pianist". This is a long movie, almost took 3 and a half hours. I gave 6 stars ******to this show, because it is so realistic. But this is a very sad history.

This story was showing what happened in 1940 to 1945, the world war II period, when the German possessed Poland. How the German soldiers discriminated and tortured Jews populations! How they murder the 11 millions Polish, of which 6 millions were Jews and 5 millions was non Jews. (The figure extract from http://www.remember.org/forgotten/)

It showed how this pianist from the closed knit family of 6 (parents, one brother and two sisters) and became the sole survivor in the world war II. How he was saved by his own jewish brother, the Polish friends, and a German Captain. How he witnessed his friends being killed under the gun. How the world turned to hell during the dark day.

In the show, the background building is exactly the same as the above picture. The cruelty of what human being can do to another human being. Imagine, one of the screen shown that the German marched to a Jews house, when all of them were having dinner round the dinning table. The German commented the Jews to stand up, all arised except one, because he was a cripple and weak, he was bounded by the wheel chair. Since he could not stand up, the German asked the soldiers to throw this man from the 4th stories down to the ground. And then they shoot the Jews one by one on the table. They are more cruelty in this show. It was breathless to watch this movie than any fighting show my son ever watched.

If you are interested to peek into the history of what happened in World War II, this show can give you a great deal of the ideas. If I have not watch this show, I was totally ignorance of this fact of life happen in 19939- 1945. Totally, totally not aware..................

Pretty Woman

Look at this beautiful nail art. It is decorated with Swarovski Crystal. It was done in Hong Kong. Cost HK$2000/-(equivalent to S$400/-). It take almost 4 hours to finish the nail. It able to last for 2 months, because the lady no need to do any house work.



This is the pretty woman from Puerto Rico, South America. She is now living in Hong Kong. She is a business lady, dealing in Trading business. Look at her gorgeous hair extention and knitting of the hair. It was done in Hong Kong as well. It take almost one day to do this hair. Three staffs work on her hair. The cost : HK$3000/- (about S$600/-). How long it can last? About 2 months. She is washing her hair every day.
Can you guess how old is she? 25? She is 43. She married at 17. She has a daughter 25 years old. And she is a grandma of a 6 years old girl. She is gorgeous, doesn't she! She said older man not interested in her, but younger man love her. Sure, young man prefer mature lady with substances! She said in her country, all girls are more goreous than her. If she don't care about her appearance, she is not dare to walk on the street! I can imagine the beauty industry in her country is booming.

SACEOS

SACEOS stand for Singapore Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers.
Beginning of January 08, I took up the short course organised by the Association, under the sponsorship of WSQ, Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications. The full course name is WSQ Professional Exhibition Management Programme - Co-ordinate Support Services. This course has 4 modules. Each modules conducted from morning 9am to 6pm in 3 consecutive days. I took the 4th modules and it was the first of the 4 modules. We always dismissed at around 4pm, I still have time rush back to work until 8pm.
They offer tea breaks with light refreshment during the 3 days training. After the course, we are obliged to work in the field for minimum 6 months.
Today, we supposed to pass up the assignment. Then, I encounter some problem in printing out the 19 pages of assignment I have completed. I called the Executive who manage our course, and ask for help. I want to email the assignment to him, so that he can print out for me at his office.
I have been using "openoffice org2.2" to replace microsoft word to do the home work. Frankly, this free software is not very useful, because it can't get the Epson printer print out the pages like microsoft word. Last time, when I write my resume using this software, most of the recruitment agency and the job.com specifically want the application to be sent only in microsoft word format. Today, I have the 3rd problem. The Executive in SACEOS office can't open the file in odt format.

I am quite panic, what should I do? The Executive asked me to download pdf995, a free ware, and save the file using print to "pdf" format. The whole assignment is saved under .pdf format. He is able to retrieve under the "pdf" format and print out the file accordingly. Thank you to him and the great software. The "pdf995" simply convert the file accordingly. The software is very easy to use and useful. It is not like "notepad" or "wordpad" that unable to retain the original format you created, eg the dot will be gone. "pdf995" will keep every things we originally created. Doesn't it sound great.

Child care teacher

Today I chatted with an Indian lady, she is working in shipping company's Accounts Dept. She said nowadays, most people don't do things they like. She hates accounting, but for earning additional income for children's tuition, she continues working in this line. Six years ago, she wanted to get out of accounting line, so she asked the company to let her work as part time with the company. She took up an part time course on Child Philosophy. If the course was on morning session, she worked in the afternoon and via versa. She took both private course as well as Government recognised course, so that she can work in the Government related school or childcare centre.
She spent almost S$4000++ attending the private course and paid about S$1000++ from the Government subsidised course. The subsidised course requires her to complete 44 hours practical. She tried to work as part time child care teacher after completion of the course. She worked in the child care centre that take care of the 1-3 years old kids, she said she found it is a tough job as well. She needs to change pampers for children, carry them when they cry, feed them food, pat them to sleep, when the children got sick, she was sick too. Imagine her own kids has the maid to handle all these. But it is easier to find job for taking care of the small children, it is hard to get job for taking care of the older children because the teacher for taking care the older child tends to stay on the job. While the resignation rate for taking care of toddle is higher, hence, more job vancancy in these capacity. After she has worked for six months, she quite the child care line and return to the accountancy line. She said it is not easy to get a part time job, hence she has to stay on the accountancy line for full time now and she is still looking for part time job or somethings that interest her.

K.C.Dart

K.C.Dart is a freight forwarding company. They do air and freight. They accept booking for air and sea freight, clearance and etc. I didn't know they do much more...............

My expatriate customer chit chat with me when I do Padicure. They are expatriates relocated in Singapore from Australia, their origin is Germany. K.C. Dart is the company that assist them to move all their favorite furniture from Australia. K.C.Dart has a public relationship dept, their company has people who can speak German, French, India, Japanese, Spainish, Russian and etc.
They will give the expatriate customers a booklet that list down all the important telephone/address in Singapore, including shopping centre, hospital, medical centre, massage centre, tuition centre, any thing you can think of the expatriate might need. The customers are free to consult anythings with K.C.Dart in their original mother tongue. K.C.Dart organises talks, seminar, city tour and morning breakfast session for their expatriate customers, so they can immediate acquire new friends during these meeting. They give out free massage voucher to the customer. (of course, they will experience the hassle of selling and pushing them the package after the free message, nothing is free in this world!) They only charge all those session a token ie S$15/-. But I tell you, as the result, the customer will strongly recommend their services to any one who want the same services, any one, do you think so?

Do you see how the new world now can survive in the servicing line? They give value added services. They must think out of the box. They can not just think 'I am a forwarder' or 'transporter', I only do forwarding. The business world are more complex than this now.

Hike in Gasoline

Today I place order for the gasoline for cooking. I was shocked that the price went up so much, it used to be at S$24/- for 12.5kg, yesterday the price is S$33/- for 12.5kg, or S$37 /- for S$14.5kg.

Hawker has increased their price due to raising cost of rental and raw materials. So, some smart one would suggest "want to save money, cook at home la!" Now it seems like even you cook at home is not cheap anymore.

God, help............................. Money, more Money come...............................

A true friend - MM Lee flies to Jakarta to visit Suharto in hospital

I felt so touch when I hear what MM Lee recounted the former Indonesian presiden Suharto's contribution to Indonesia.

Mr Lee said:"There are very few people of his age and my age who can remember the past. If they remember the past, they will kow that in the 1960's , Indonesia was in very dire economic difficulties, mired in hyperinflation.

In 1965, he acted decisively. He saved Indonesia from further going down that slippery road. From 1967, when he became president, right up to 1997, the economy grew and Indonesia was on the point of taking off.

The Fact this had failed to happen should not be blamed on Mr Suharto. Recalling tumultuous events of 1997, Bank Indonesia had interest rates too high then, so companies borrowed in US dollars for low interest rates.

And then when confidence was lost after the Thai baht crisis, people wanted to pull their money out, and the whole thing collapsed.

It was not his fault. Yes, there was corruption. Yes, he gave favours to his family and his friends. But there was real growth, real progress.

Indonesia were lucky to have had Mr Suharto, a general, at the helm, and drew comparisons with Myanmar. Both countries experienced mulitary coups in the 1960s - Indonesia in 1965 and Myanmar in 1962 - and were subsequently led by generals.

But while Mr Suharto had picked a team of competent administrations, including a very good team of competent administrators, including a very good team of economists, to build up Indonesia, Myanmar's General Ne Win "did it his own way" and looked to socialism.

If Suharto had been like Nu Win or like the president generals, Indonesia would be like Burma. But it is not. Ten years after the financial crisis, the economy is steadying, growth rate is returning. (Burma is the former name of Myanmar)

Just compare Indonesia to Burma, Look, same time, 1962 Ne Win, 1965 Suharto, both well -endowed and rich countries. Well, you compare. Who is better off? Who deserves to be honoured? What is a few billion dollars lost in bad excesses? He built hundred of billions of dollars worth of assets."

Mr Lee stressed that much credit should go to Mr Suharto for what he had done for Indonesia and the region. "He gave Indonesia progress and development. He educated the population. He built roads and infrastructure. And from Sukarno's Konfrontasi and other foreign policy excesses, he stabilised international relations.

Mr Suharto cooperated with Asean, allowing for the emergence of a stable South-east Asia today. The younger generation, both in Indonesia and the world, do not remember where Indonesia started from. I do. That is why I came here to visit him," said the Minister Montor.

"I want to pay this tribut to him, and I came here. It is sad to see a very old friend, with whom I worked closely over the last 30 years, not really getting the honours that he deserves."

My friend is going to attend a wedding dinner on Sunday. She said the bride has two made to order wedding grown, which cost six thousands and eight thousands respectively. The groom gives his wife a fifteen thousands dollars diamond ring. Their wedding dinner is held at Shangrila Hotel. All this sound like a perfect wedding right? The dream come true for the young lady! My friend said if she is the young lady, she would not want to carry on the marriage becasue this man who work as remiser has owed the bank Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars. Can you imagine the interest incurring every month with the Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars. Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars is equivalent to a private apartment in Singapore.

So, young lady, you must open your eyes to see what happen before you accept the lavish marriage proposal.

Not meant to be "Joke"

Last Sunday, our paster share with us 2 very interesting stories, I don't realise how the stories related to the topic "Spiritual blessing from God, our Father". But I find the stories very interesting.

The man was accused manslaughter by the police, but there was one problem, the police could not find the body of the dead man. The man's lawyer work diligently wanting to help him clear the accusation. He said to the court, "Now, every one of you please turn back and look at the entrance, I said the man is still alive, the moment we open this door, you will see this man walking in to this court." So, every one in this court turn their back curiously and expecting the "dead man" appeared at the door, and walking in to the court room. But, it did not happen, the lawyer argued that, "See, we have no proof that this man has dead, and we all believed that this man is still alive, so my client is not guilty." After that, the juries came back from their discussion and announces their judgement. They concluded that the man is "gulty". The lawyer was very shocked and asked the juries, why? The jury replied, "Look, everyone in the court room believed that this man is still alive, but this man did not turn his head and look at the entrance, because he did not believed that the dead man is still alive, because he knew that he did not."

This man always called his wife "honey", "sweet heart", "pumkin", "dear", "daring", "pussy cat".......................................... The paster felt very amazing, he thought this man must be in love with his wife so much that they are so intimate even in the public. The paster decided to ask this man how he manages to keep the relationship in such a loving way. This man revealed the true, he said, "Paster, please do not tell any one about it, because few months ago, I have forgotten my wife's name......................................."

"Oversea Begger"

Singapore is a nice place to stay, and most people love to stay here no matter what cost to pay. This China woman brought her daughter along and become begger in Singapore street. That is what she wrote : "I have not yet an PR, hence, I can not get a job, please help my daughter and I. Thank you."

One thing she did not know, "Begging" in street is illegal in Singapore. If she is caught, she will be fined, or most likely she will be sent back to where she come from.

Most people love Singapore's strict rule and regulation, and the ability to implement the necessary to safeguard our nation. Imagine if the woman succeed living in Singapore by professional begging, other weman will think that this is a new way of living in Singapore. You will see more weman carrying their child and be begger in the street of Singapore. The worst scenario is that the bad man will force more woman to the street to be begger. Have you heard of syndicate of beggers in Thailand? I heard they purposely make the handicap people mute, or deaf and clipped, so that people will sympathetic to them and contribute more money to them. At the end of the day, the money did not go to the handicap but go to the syndicate.
Our very own local beggers are forbited in Singapore, "oversea begger" is definitely not what Singapore want to invite.
